Dysfunction to Function! This beautiful Alamo Square home had original details and charm throughout, but it needed an entire renovation. NBR created a functional, updated, family-friendly home while preserving the Victorian character. The kitchen was moved from the back of the house to the front double parlor room. This gave the house an official 4th bedroom in the back of the house. It also allowed for all the common spaces, Kitchen, Living Room and Dining Room, to reside together in an open concept plan at the front of the house. This project was featured in Fine Homebuilding Kitchen and Baths magazine. Please see the transformation and details here.

Got a Utility room? Make it a Master Bathroom! The master bathroom of this Alamo Square house was formerly a hot water heater with a tiny storage space off the bedroom. NBR came to the rescue with creativity and a “can do” attitude. NBR’s team created a design allowing for not only a walk-in shower but also a soaking tub. The design was featured in the winter 2012 Fine Homebuilding Kitchen and Baths Annual edition.
